Mount Fuji: Mount Fuji plucks the heartsrings of all Japanese, poets to peasants. For us it had been an exercise in Zen; the mountain, all 3200m of it, is right in front of me but I cannot see it- the clouds are blocking all sight. We can only feel for it, and by doing so come to terms with the imperminance of our own lives. Only Fuji will remain. This photo is actually a poster in the mountain visitor center, of what we should be able to see. Funny thing playing hide and seek with a trillion ton mountain.
