The Forbidden City: We have heard a multitude of opinions about this Chinese must see and frankly we were worried. Nothing doing, this was one of the highlights of my China trip if not my trip in total. You simply have to get off the middle path, full of hordes of tourists, and see the amazing and much quieter side palaces. Yes, basho left the middle path… What would Buddha think?
